System Outage Ovenright on April 16-17

The FloatHub website and monitoring system experienced an outage last night beginning around 2 am UTC time. This was related to a database outage at Amazon Web Services. We moved to backup systems and as of roughly 6 am UTC time, all systems are fully operational. It may take several hours for some devices to back fill their missing data.

When I tried to sign in to the Web Interface I got a Error 500 message. Was this related?

Yes, same issue; the entire database cluster went down, including access to login information.

We are looking at automating the failover to the backup system so that we can avoid (or at least shorten the duration) in the future.
